My name is Tashi Yesenia and I am a fourth degree black belt. I have been practicing martial arts for 25 years. Many of my family members have also been enrolled in karate but I am the only one who remains. Karate has been a great part of my life in which it has taught me lifelong skills such as discipline, courage, multitasking, persistence, confidence, dedication and much more. Being part of this wonderful organization and art has made me the woman I am today. I feel that karate has helped me accomplish many goals such as attaining two masters degree, becoming a NYC public school teacher, I am a wife and mother of twin boys. I don’t know what my life would have been without being in karate but I’m lucky that my father signed me up!
